What is Diabetes & NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease)

NAFLD = Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

  • It means fat deposition in the liver not due to alcohol.

  • NAFLD can progress to:
  • Simple steatosis (fat only) 
  • NASH (Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis = fat + inflammation)
