Small Intestine Cancer
What is Small Intestine Cancer
Small intestine cancer is when abnormal cells start growing inside the small intestine (the long tube between stomach and large intestine).
Although the small intestine does a lot of digestion and absorption, cancers here are much rarer than in the stomach or colon.
Causes / Risk Factors
- Genetic factors (family history, inherited conditions).
- Chronic inflammation of the intestines (like Crohn’s disease, celiac disease).
- Unhealthy diet high in fat, smoked or processed foods.
- Weakened immunity.
- Exposure to harmful chemicals or radiation.
Symptoms
- Since the small intestine is hidden deep inside, symptoms may be vague and confused with other digestive issues:
- Repeated abdominal pain or cramps.
- Bloating, indigestion, or nausea.
- Unexplained weight loss.
- Blood in stools or dark tarry stools.
- Feeling weak, tired, or anemic.
Sometimes intestinal blockage leading to severe pain and vomiting.
Homeopathic Perspective
In homeopathy, the patient as a whole is studied — digestion, energy, emotions, and overall constitution. Remedies help in:
- Reducing pain, discomfort, and indigestion.
- Improving appetite and absorption.
- Boosting general strength and immunity.
- Supporting body’s natural healing.
Some commonly considered remedies:
- Hydrastis – for indigestion, weakness, emaciation.
- Phosphorus – bleeding tendency, weakness, craving cold drinks.
- Arsenicum album – burning pain in abdomen, anxiety, restlessness.
- Carcinosin – in cases with strong family history or cancer tendency.
Must be taken only under guidance of a qualified homeopath.
